This portrait pays tribute to the power of education and to Malala Yousafzai's activism for girls' education rights. Since age 11 she has stood up to the Taliban's ban on girls' education, defending her and her classmates' right to go to school in Pakistan's Swat Valley. She survived being shot in the head by the Taliban on her school bus in 2012.

Originally printed as a 36" x 40" linocut, this print has been adapted on the Risograph to a more manageable size. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist. The original linocut is still available at Max'sGaragePress.com/shop.
